Week #7 OVERVIEW
The thriller in Manilla this was not. Cronin and DelSolia had a very sister like game each grabbing 9 points...hmmmmmmmm How many putts were conceded in that match? Get this , Ruggiero doesn't make his tee time, forfeits his match and yet takes 6 points to Sullivans 7. Mr. Sullivan was fit to be tied. ( Mike Curran had to hose him off later just to cool him down!
Now those who like the CELTICS came to play. Congratulations to Dave Maguire, Harry Retjos, Bill Collins jr, and Bob Antonelli. These men earned 12 points each for their teams. Here come the Lakers.... Dave Berard, Ryan Longdin, Eric Wiseman and Jeff Burke....you folks provided little or no competition for your opponent, each only bringing home 6 points. Hell, you could of pulled a Ruggiero and done that!!!
After 7 weeks Team Cronin is hanging out in first place with a 10 point lead over second place persuer, Team Doug Maguire. This should be an interesting battle . Cronins team, having never experienced the pressure of being chased and having to perform at a high level week after week, versus The Doctors team, a perennial winner who year after year is battling with his teammates for the prized trophy. Which captain will rally his team. Doc verses the Zen Master II. Who are you betting on? Drop me a line here and let me know.
Finally let me say kudoos to Jeff Burke, who recently submitted an article on this web site. I found it very enjoyable and entertaining. I suggest that next year when I'm done with this project maybe you could write a weekly piece?
Till next week!!!!!
